Each summer WEC Japan runs a variety of Camps at their Lakeside Camp Site.
This year, camps will start on July 18th and run through to the 16th August.
These camps offer something for all ages, and we hope many not-yet Christians will come along.
The main aim of the camps is outreach and we share a short Christian message each day, as well as ‘Life Stories’ or testimonies from Christians, and open small group discussions.
Camp also provide lots of fun activities and relief from the summer heat with swimming, canoeing, boating, windsurfing, games, craft activities, fireworks and BBQ’s.
Please pray for this vital ministry – that God would touch people’s hearts to come along, and that the words and fun times that are shared together would make an ETERNAL impact on those who attend!
July 20th is a public holiday in Japan.
Excitingly, many of the churches in our region have joined together with Japanese Christian TV program Lifeline to hold a large-scale evangelistic outreach event.
A cruise ship has been hired as the venue for the day, and will run with three sailings on Lake Biwa over the day. A morning cruise, luncheon cruise and evening cruise.
Each cruise can take around 400 people and we are praying for them to be full!
We have Japanese Christian artists coming along to entertain with song and share testimony, and various choirs and speakers will be on the boat to perform and share with the passengers.
Please pray for the ship to be full to capacity, for wonderful weather, safe sailing and for many people to hear the gospel message this summer!
