    Why I came to Japan

Until today, I am still not sure why I have come to Japan. I was never interested in Nintendo or manga, nor want to follow the trendy fashion, nor enjoy all the different Miso soup.

We’ve recently started a new group introducing the gospel to mums and their children in Uji. Pray for them to experience something significant of God and his gospel, in order to consider a relationship with Him for the first time.

We will start a Korean class in Minami Kusatsu from April, and continue a kids English club in Kusatsu, both twice a month. Please pray for many contacts, and for the classes to have a spiritual influence on the participants.

We asked Gisela Gaub (Germany), who pastors Kusatsu church with her husband Juergen, a few questions about it, so please open the attached pdf!

Thank God for the safe arrival of Shion on February 12, a second daughter for Jaenbaeg and Eunjeong Lim (Korean missionaries with us). Pray for strength for them as they also prepare to move to Uzumusa church’s house in Kyoto in April.

Edna Owens passed away on February 10th 2013 in the UK. Edna was a missionary here for many years and field leader with her husband Richard from 1984 to 1994. With her family, (including our co-worker Edi Wilson, Edna’s daughter) we rejoice in Edna’s life and firm hope of heaven.

  • The Irrevocable Call of God; testimony by a new Japanese pastor-intern

    献身の証

My album begins with an old, faded photograph of my dedication ceremony: my young-looking parents gazing at a baby which looks totally unlike I do now, overwhelmed by emotion and giving thanks to God. It is God, with His unconditional grace upon me in every situation, who has led me up until today. This is what I want to testify to.
