Latest Prayer Points

Thanks for praying for our Christmas events! Some 20 students came to the KGK one in Kyoto, including a couple of non-believers.  One student shared the Christmas message and another gave a testimony of his recent salvation.  The whole meeting was wrapped up with a warm hot-pot (nabe) dinner.  Tracts were given out to those who attended.  Do pray for the salvation of these students.

Pray for God`s leading for making a field strategy under our new field vision, that He would give us proper strategy for effective ministry, and might show us future possible church planting areas.

History

Our history

At the end of the Second World War, General MacArthur called for a thousand Protestant missionaries to Japan. WEC's work began as a response to that call when Lon and Yvonne Fulton arrived in Japan on February the 23rd, 1950.

Opposition and Openness, but not much fruit

Aaron Tay continues our series on Japanese mission history, taking us from 1640 to the present day...

Why still just 1%?

The gospel message first came to Japan 450 years ago. Many are now asking why it would seem that the message has, as yet, failed to reach significant numbers of Japanese. Just thinking about this prompts a number of questions. Is this assumption even a fair one to make? What has been achieved? What has hindered Japanese from being more responsive? What hope is there for change?
