About Us

Thirty-seven people currently make up the WEC Japan team - that is 8 single people and the remainder married couples. We still currently meet all together about once a month for fellowship, worship and business matters, but with a growing field we will change to meeting in smaller location-based groups as from next year, reserving larger gatherings for about four times a year.

At the end of the Second World War, General MacArthur called for a thousand Protestant missionaries to Japan. WEC's work began as a response to that call when Lon and Yvonne Fulton arrived in Japan on February the 23rd, 1950.

Als Missionar in ein neues Land um zu ziehen, beinhaltet viele Änderungen. Gute Orientierung und Einführung der neuen Arbeiter ist von wesentlicher Bedeutung. Denn sie sind auf Hilfe angewiesen um einen sicheren Weg durch dieses Labyrinth von Neuheiten zu finden, sodass sie hier in Japan ein Leben aufbauen können, mit dem sie anderen dienen können.
